12 Shopping Malls Christmas Decorations In The Klang Valley

The jolliest time of the year is approaching once again. That means christmas decorations, but not half-bake ones, we’re talking about the big and elaborate kind that can be found in many of our favourite malls.

So to honour the dedication and effort these shopping malls put into their decorations each year, we have compiled a list of our picks for some of the best and unique designs the malls in Klang Valley have to offer, this coming Christmas.

1. Pavilion KL – A Starry Christmas

The Bukit Bintang staple hit it out of the ball park once again, with their “Star Wars” theme design. The Christmas decorations is filled with some of the most impressive “Star Wars” merchandise you can find. Also featured is a replica of the iconic “Star Wars” ship, the Millennium Falcon, which entered in the Malaysian Books of Records for being the largest of its kind (30 ft by 40 ft). So if you like “Star Wars” and love Christmas then check out the decorations yourself at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

This is also in conjunction with the highly-anticipated “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”. Don’t miss out for an interactive experience at the Hyper Drive and Cockpit Access stations to snap some photos too!

2. Sunway Pyramid – German Christmas Market

Inspired by the oldest Christmas Market in Germany (the Dresden Christmas Market), it’s impossible to miss the 36-feet tall traditional Christmas Pyramid, featuring a magnificent display of rotating German carved figures on each level. Dig into delicious German cuisine, shop for festive gifts and participate in exciting Christmas activities from now till 29th December.

3. Intermark Mall – A Christmas Town

Situated on Intermark Mall’s ground atrium is a quaint European Christmas market scene with enchanting festive décor. Here, you can see Christmas trees decorated in vibrant red poinsettias and twinkling fairy lights to showcase their unique Christmas heritage.

4. Da Men Mall – Candy Christmas

Enter the magical candy wonderland greeted with sweet, candy-inspired decorations featuring cute characters from Da Men Mall’s festive collaboration with Pocotee & Friends. There is an amazing line-up of activities including festive performances, fun- filled workshops, exciting talent competitions, and a snowfall experience every weekend at 7:30pm and 8:30pm.

5. IPC Shopping Centre – A Wondrous Winterland

 

The joy of Christmas is in the air at IPC Shopping Centre. In collaboration with Toblerone, the legendary triangular chocolate – IPC is ready to take shoppers and visitors on an enchanted festive journey filled sweetness and joy at the main concourse area. Walk into the giant lighted crystal globe that has a 15-feet Christmas tree inside, while your kids will get to tour around the concourse area filled with 3D Tomtes in a magical train ride. You will be spoilt for choice for Insta-worthy photo moments.

In conjunction with IPC’s 16th anniversary, the shopping centre has also introduced the IPC Tack Club (IPC mobile app) that offers a ton of perks, freebies, rewards and more!

6. 1 Utama Shopping Centre – Whimsical Woodlands

 

Christmassy scent of forest pine trees beckons you to “explore a wondrous woodland trail and wander beneath towering animated snow-capped Christmas trees wrapped in twinkling fairy lights and colourful baubles – a breathtaking woodland picturesque like never before”!

We’re, of course, referring to the Whimsical Woodlands at 1 Utama’s LG oval. With illuminating and enchanting trails and woodlands, frosty skating rink, Yuletide shows, festive rewards and shopping, do you need anymore reasons to visit this mall?

7. Avenue K – A Shimmery Christmastide

Behold, A Shimmery Christmastide has invaded Avenue K. The venue is now adorned with red and gold chandeliers suspended from the ceiling to illuminate the atrium’s “sky”, creating a dazzling display of spellbinding lights. Take advantage of the spectacular backdrop and blossoming floral decorations for photo opportunities. While you’re there, feast on seasonal delights and shop for sweets, gifts, and treats at the festive Christmas marketplace.

8. Mid Valley Megamall – Santa’s Toyland

Let your inner child out at Santa’s Toyland – the place where you’ll get to experience the sights and sounds of Christmas while shopping for seasonal gifts.

9. The Gardens Mall – Christmas Dreaming

Have you been dreaming of a White Christmas? If your answer is yes, then head on over to The Gardens Mall (no excuse since the link bridge from Abdullah Hukum LRT/KTM has recently opened). It’s truly a winter wonderland filled with glistening grounds, sparkling icicles, chandeliers of frosty baubles, and trees covered in a flurry of twinkling lights.

What’s interesting this year is in the midst of the dreamy forest, shoppers will be able to spot various winter animals hiding amongst snow-dusted pine trees while some are in plain sight. There’s also exciting shows (fun choreography, toe-tapping music, costumes) and performances taking place so be on the look out for that.

Since this is the season of giving, you can donate money or English books to high-need students at Teach For Malaysia. Their booth is located at the North Palm on the ground floor.

10. Berjaya Times Square – A Christmas Glitter 

 

It’s a bright red affair at Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur! It’s a festive voyage filled with incredible picturesque Christmas ground attractions.

11. Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya – We Bare Bears

Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya has entered the Malaysia Book of Records for building the “Most Numbers of We Bare Bears on a Christmas Tree”. The gigantic Christmas tree (8.3 metres in height and 4.5 metres in width) has a total of 1202 miniature We Bare Bears plushies. Grizzly, Panda, and Ice Bear are up for adoption, where proceeds will go to orphanages.

12. MyTOWN Shopping Centre – The Gift of Kindness

Situated at Central Town, be prepared to get enchanted with the wonderful world of Frost Valley as shoppers are invited to celebrate this jolly season with adorable furry friends like Murphy the Bear, Ray the Fox, Tim the Rabbit and others, complete with magnificent life-sized woodland creatures and charming Christmas decorations, sounds and lightings to add in the festive mood.
