Turn your KFC leftover into amazing “KEPCI” recipe that you can easily make at home !

Food Delivery demand has rapidly increase worldwide due to Movement Control Order (MCO). And with the all promotions & deals, fast food delivery like McDonald, Domino’s Pizza and KFC definitely experiencing a surge in demand during MCO.

However,  leftover food is a real thing that happens all the time, especially for KFC leftover chicken. So instead of reheat it or throw it away,  KFC has comes out with their #KepciKitchen to help you settle your leftover chicken.  Just follow these simple recipes to make your leftover KFC chicken into some creative and easy to make meal.

 

 

Nasi Goreng Kepci

Ingredients:

2 pieces KFC Fried Chicken

1 cup leftover rice

1 cup frozen mixed vegetables

Cooking oil

Scallion

Pinch of salt and pepper

Steps: 

1. Shred the chicken meat and skin into smaller pieces.

2.   Heat the pan and add in the cooking oil.

3. Put in the chicken skin first and cook for 3 minutes.

4. Add in the rice and “fried fried fried”.

5. Then add the shred chicken meat, frozen mixed vegetable, scallion and the seasonings.

6. Fried kaw-kaw and serve.

 


One Pot Wonder Ori AKA The KFC Japanese Rice

Ingredients:

2 pieces KFC Fried Chicken

1 cup rice

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 cup chicken stock

2 cups water

Pinch of salt and pepper

Scallion (to garnish)

Steps:

1. Submerge the soy sauce, chicken stock, salt and pepper and two pieces of KFC Fried Chicken into the uncooked rice.

2. Add water into the rice cooker until it reaches the desired level.

3. Turn on the rice cooker and cook as usual.

4. Mix the rice and chicken together, adding salt and pepper according to your taste and preference.

5. Serve with chopped scallion to make it look fancy and serve.

 


MI SEGERA KEPCI 

Ingredients:

1 piece KFC Original Chicken

2 X Bok Choy or any vege that you like

½ red onion, sliced

½ red chili, sliced (add more if you want it more spicy)

1 packet mi segera

Steps: 

1. Cook the mi segera.

2. Heat the wok and add one tablespoon of oil, sliced red onion, diced KFC chicken, sliced red chili and vegetables. Stir fry for a while.

3. Next, add in the cooked mi segera and seasoning.

4. Fry evenly and serve.

 


HOT & SPICY KEPCI CILI PASTA

Ingredients:

2 pieces KFC Hot and Spicy chicken, chopped in big piece (1 for cooking and 1 for eating while cooking)

1 tbsp cooking oil

2 garlic cloves, crushed

2 chili, sliced

1 large tomato, diced

1 onion, sliced

1 tsp chili powder

Pasta sauce (Tomato)

Pasta (fusilli /penne)

Pinch of salt & Pepper

Water

Steps: 

1. Heat the cooking oil in pan.

2. Add the sliced onion, crushed garlic cloves and chili. Cook them until soft and golden brown.

3. Add the pasta sauce together with the chili powder and diced tomato.

4. Add in some water and cook until the tomato softens.

5. Add the chopped KFC Hot and Spicy chicken pieces to the sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

6. Cook the 200g pasta.

7. Drain the pasta, and add it into the frying pan with the chicken sauce , salt & pepper.

8.Mix well. Eat and enjoy!

 


THE KEPCI SANDWICH

Ingredients:

1 piece Hot & Spicy KFC Chicken

Any sliced bread or roti bun of your choice

3 slices beef salami/ chicken ham

2 slices cheese

Avocado spread (optional)

Chili sauce

Mayonnaise

Steps:

1. Slice bread into half.

2. Arrange beef salami slices / ham slices and cheese slices on one side of the bread.

3. Add the Hot & Spicy KFC Chicken (shredded) on the other side.

4. Bake in the oven at 250 degrees for 3-5 minutes.

5. Add chili sauce and mayonnaise on the Hot & Spicy KFC Chicken side. Fold it together and makan!

 


THE KEPCI SALAD

Ingredients:

1 piece of KFC Original chicken

Salad vegetables of your choice

1 carrot

1 red chili or red capsicum

1 red onion

Balsamic glaze or any salad dressings of your choice

Parsley, nuts of your choice, cheese & croutons (to garnish)

Steps:

1.Slices the carrots, chili and red onion into thin and long pieces.

2. Shred your KFC Original chicken.

3. Add the salad vege, KFC Original chicken and all the sliced ingredient into a bowl.

4.  Add garnishes – parsley, walnuts, cheese and croutons.

5. Drizzle the dressing over the salad.

6.Serve with warm buns on the side…mmm.

Chicken Quesadillas

Ingredients:

1 KFC chicken, shredded

2 X tortillas / wrap

Cheese

1/4 cup cream cheese softened

1/2 garlic, crushed

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped.

Salt & pepper

Steps: 

1.  Well combined the cream cheese, shredded chicken, cheese, garlic, cilantro, salt & pepper in a bowl..

2. Heat the tortilla / wrap on the pan.

3. Add the mixture and spread out evenly on the tortilla, then top with another tortilla.

4. Cook for 2 minutes then flip to the other side for 2 minutes or until light golden and the cheese is melted.

5. Remove from heat and cut into 8 slices.  Serve warm with your favorite salsa.

 


 Chicken Nachos

Ingredients:

1 -2 KFC chicken, shredded

Nachos / tortilla chips

Cheese

Topping of your choice ( tomatoes, olives, capsicum, onion)

Salt & pepper

Steps :

1. Preheat the oven

2. Well combined the shredded chicken, cheese, Topping of your choice ( tomatoes, olives, capsicum, onion), salt & pepper in a bowl.

3. Placed the aluminium foil  over sheet pan and arrange the Nachos / tortilla chips evenly.

4. Top the mixture on the Nachos / tortilla chips, and add shredded cheese on top.

5.Layer the remaining chips on top, followed by the remaining mixture and cheese.

6. Bake the Nachos / tortilla chips. until the cheese is melted and the chips around the edges are beginning to brown, about 8 minutes.

7. Serve warm with your favorite salsa.
